 Red Shield Appeal 2009

Golden Key RMIT is working together with The Salvation Army in their annual Red Shield appeal. This is a part of our community service initiatives.

Why Red Shield Appeal?

The appeal is the biggest fund-raising event for the Salvation Army which will be used to help 1,500,000 people in Australia. By volunteering you are helping the people in need.
 
 

 A signed certificate of appreciation from Golden Key RMIT will be provided for the volunteers.

Upcoming GK-RMIT events

Golden Key RMIT has two main events planned for the month of April and May, with the Self Defence Workshop on the 27th of April. On the 27th of May, there will be a glamorous Golden Key Ball held by various Golden Key Chapters. Be sure not to miss out on these exciting events!!

Golden Key RMIT 2009

As we usher in the first semester of 2009, Golden Key RMIT has plenty of events and workshops instore for its members and non-members alike. These events include movie nights, trivia nights, self-defense workshops, fund-raising activities and many, many more. All these will be updated with details such as dates and venues in the Events section, so stay tuned as we update this website with loads of goodies.

Ian Thorpe's Fountain for Youth

Ian Thorpe’s Fountain for youth is a non-profit organisation that supports the promotion of literacy and education within indigenous communities throughout Australia. Golden Key International Honour Society (RMIT Chapter) would like you all to get involved!

During August and September 2008, this chapter is aiming to raise $700 for the purchase of 7 Literacy Backpacks. These backpacks will be presented to indigenous children and their families, within remote communities, in order to stimulate an interest in reading.

In order to do this, the RMIT Chapter will be selling Hoyts movie ticket packs. Each pass is valid for 9 months for redemption at the box office for one admission.

Movie Lover Pack 5 Adult tickets (unrestricted) $55 (That’s $11 a ticket!)
Bargain Pack 5 General Admission(Mon-Thurs) $45 (That’s $9 a ticket!)
Mixed Group Pack 2 Adult & 3 Child (unrestricted) $50 (on average, $10 a ticket!)
